Ryan McGinley

Ryan McGinley is a famous photographer born in the 17th day of October 1977 in Ramsey, Nj. He's the youngest of 8 children. When he grew up, he started residing at New York City and that is when he started to do photography. His friends in those days were graffiti writers, musicians a lot of other artists. In the year 1998, he did start to make photos of different people. He takes photos of the folks who would visit him in his place, and then tries to hang the Polaroid photos of these people in the walls of his room.

McGinley begun to place in public his beautiful photos in the year 2000 at West Broadway in Manhattan. He started giving out his handmade book of photos to those people he had highest respect for; such as Sylvia Wolf. He had given the book the title The Kids Are Alright. He had given Wolf the book for the reason that Wolf had been part of the accomplishment of McGinley. She was assisting him and ushering him to set to public his works and made a presentation onto the Whitney Museum of American Art walls.

In the year 2003 when McGinley was at the age of 25, he had been presented by the American Photo Magazine the Photographer of the Year. Carrying out what he loved the most, McGinley have become one famous photographer. At the very young age, he was given the privilege by the Whitney Museum of American Art to have a solo show displaying his total great work of art. Showing the beautiful photos he'd taken along his journey to photography world. He'd been given the honor as the Young Photographer Infinity Award presented to him through the International Center of Photography.

Continuing his work and loving what he loved, McGinley never quit studying and finding methods to capture a significant scene. He had recorded a lot of his works and he even had exhibitions one lots of times. He had his exhibit around 2007 where he named it Irregular Regulars held at the Team Gallery in SoHo wherein he took photos from a concert he went to at the US, London and UK; taking candid shots of fans, the ecstatic lights as well as the celebration of the moment. He also had his exhibit show in the year 2008 also held at Team Gallery. He named his show I Know Where the Summer Goes. He'd captured the moments and the intense pleasure of the trip. Taking photos of his group play with each other, had fun together. He had one too many exhibits all because he was always been loved by the public for his photos.

Up to the current, McGinley still works as being a photographer. To him, photography is mostly about freezing the moment on time; it is all about restoring the minute and keeping that stage in a lifetime.
